REAL Date Tip #45

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

Since the holiday season is upon us it is time to start holiday dates.  Go to one of the holiday concerts or pageants in your area.  Trans Siberian Orchestra or Mannheim Steamroller make good holiday dates.

REAL Love Note Tip #72

Monday, November 26th, 2007

This Thursday, November 29, 2008, is Electronic Greetings Day.  So, this week, send your spouse an electronic REAL Love Note.  You can make your own of course or check out e-card sites on the web.  Some of the sites I use are www.bluemountain.com, www.myfuncards.com, www.regards.com.

Remember, REAL Love Notes are deposits in the love bank.

REAL Date Tip #44

Go shopping together! Shopping can be fun when you do it together and combine it with watching the madness of other people.  Tomorrow is the biggest shopping day of the year so there is plenty of madness to watch.  Of course, you can go for the alternative, which is to stay home and cuddle on the couch while the rest of the country frustrates itself in crowded stores.

It is Thanksgiving week.  Give your spouse a REAL Love note that expresses how thankful you are for your spouse.  Make sure to give at least one or two specific things for which you are thankful.

REAL Love Note Tip #70

Monday, November 5th, 2007

November is the month of Thanksgiving so make sure to give your spouse love notes this month around the theme of Thanksgiving. (Please don’t call your spouse a turkey.) Each week, send a note about a trait of your spouse’s for which you are thankful.  That appreciation will be a big deposit in the love bank.

REAL Date Tip #43

Spend an evening playing cards.  Put on comfortable clothes, make some coffee, hot chocolate or cider, or maybe some tea and play your favorite card games.  You might even try some new card games.  Play games where you need to buy the cards (e.g. Uno or Skip Bo) or games with regular cards (e.g. Crazy Eights, Spades).
